Paddle stronger before your next session.
Clip a set of paddle ropes to anything solid, lie on whatever you already have and paddle. The free app turns every stroke into a surfer on the screen and runs you through the workout.

Your bench. Your ropes. Our app.
01 · How a session works
Step 1
Clip in and lie down
Clip your paddle ropes to anything solid in front of you — a door anchor, a post, a bench leg. Lie on a bench, a couch arm, a ball or the floor, and take the handles.
Step 2
Choose a workout
Pick the day's session in the free app or build your own: rounds of paddling out, duck dives and hold-downs, then waves to catch. Prop the phone where you can see it.
Step 3
Paddle
Wear your Apple Watch and every stroke of your arm pulls a hand-drawn surfer through the water. Paddle harder and he goes faster. No watch? He paddles on his own while you follow along.

04 · Questions
- What do I need?
- Any paddle trainer or a pair of resistance cords with handles, something solid to clip them to, and a bench, couch arm, ball or the floor to lie on. A couple of lengths of cord, two handles and a clip will do; the app works just the same with a homemade rig.
- What do I clip it to?
- Anything solid at about chest height in front of you: a door anchor, a hook, a post, a fence, the leg of a heavy table. The cords should run straight ahead of you the way water would.
- Do I need an Apple Watch?
- No. With a watch, your strokes drive the surfer and your heart rate and cadence are tracked. Without one, the surfer paddles for himself and you follow the timer.
- Which devices does the app run on?
- iPhone and iPad, with an optional Apple Watch. One workout is free every day; Full Access is a monthly subscription with a 14-day free trial.
- Is it safe?
- It is exercise, so treat it like exercise: warm up, check your ropes and anchor before each session, and do breath holds only on dry land. Read the Terms before you start.
